Peristeras reef is located 2 miles away from the harbour of Ierapetra. The maximum depth of 15 meters makes it ideal for OW divers, newly certified divers who want to do a nice and easy boat dive or refreshers who just want to be back in the game.
Life formed on the rocks is typical to a Mediterranean diving spot. Fauna as well. Groupers, Seabreams, Parrotfishes, Wrasses, Morays and Octapuses are often seen. Position of the reef allows pelagic fishes like Amberjacks to find a rest place. Caretta Caretta turtles are spoted here as well.
